Rana Hakim , a local surface pattern and textile designer, will be leading this wonderfully creative workshop.  Her background is in graphics and branding, but she has always had an interest and a love for pottery and linen. Her specialty is in surface pattern and textile design, principally using modern patterns and motifs, in both conventional and contemporary contexts. You will create a similar product to the one pictured (it may not be exactly that pattern)  She mainly works by hand, using pencil, paper and color to come up with initial sketches to develop into designs and has recently delved into digital patterns.

Workshop Details:

Participants must be 21 or older to attend. The class includes a 6" clay pot and saucer, as well as all necessary paint supplies.  Attendees will also get a 6" plant included, for them to put in their pot.  Rana will guide attendees in painting her own pre-drawn patterns on the pot, encouraging the creativity of each participant in their own unique color choices and type of brushstrokes.  Light appetizers will be served, as well as prosecco.  Participants may bring additional beverages and apps if they wish.
